Gyms & fitness

Gym music with the energy your members train to

Music synchronised with exercise tempo improves stamina, endurance and mood. We programme BPM-aware playlists across every zone of your gym, and we keep you on the right side of music licensing while we're at it.

Why it matters

More than filling the silence

Performance, not just noise

Research is clear: the right tempo at the right moment measurably improves workouts. Our curators programme energy deliberately through your day: build, peak, recover.

Zones that make sense

The free-weights floor, the spin studio, the pool and the café are different worlds. Each gets independent programming from the same system.

Your demographic, your sound

A boutique strength studio and a family leisure centre shouldn't sound the same. Curation is matched to your members, not a one-size playlist.

Licensing sorted

Gyms have extra licensing wrinkles; exercise-to-music classes carry their own PPL tariff. We deliver compliant music and the play-out logs to prove it.

Licensing

What every UK gym needs to know about music licensing

If your gym is open to the public, playing music there is a public performance, so you'll need TheMusicLicence (PRS for Music + PPL). Exercise-to-music classes such as spin and aerobics attract an additional PPL tariff, and consumer streaming apps aren't licensed for any of it.

We supply commercially licensed music with full play-out reporting, so your licence reconciliation is a print-out, not a panic.

What you get

Six things that matter in gyms & fitness

BPM-aware curation

Playlists built around tempo: steady energy on the gym floor, peaks for peak hours, recovery tones in stretch zones.

Multi-zone programming

Gym floor, studios, pool, changing rooms and café run simultaneously with independent sound.

Time-of-day energy

The 6am crowd and the 7pm crowd train differently. The schedule follows your footfall automatically.

Offline resilience

A dropped connection never silences the gym floor, because music plays from local storage.

Fully licensed library

Commercial-use cleared tracks with complete logging for PPL/PRS reconciliation.

Estate-scale control

Multi-site groups get central management, consistent brand sound and per-club overrides.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can we use Spotify in the gym?

No. Consumer streaming terms prohibit commercial use, and they carry none of the public-performance licences a gym needs. A business music service plus TheMusicLicence is the compliant route.

What about music for spin and group classes?

Exercise-to-music classes have their own PPL tariff on top of the standard licences. We can advise on exactly what your class schedule needs; it's more straightforward than it sounds.

Can the music get busier at peak times?

Yes, that's the point. Schedules are built around your trading day, so energy climbs into the evening rush and settles for quieter hours, automatically.

Ready to hear it in your gyms?

Tell us about your space and we'll build a demo around your brand, usually within the working week.
